Not only will the seller likely upcharge the repairs, but they may want compensation for the extra work. 

5. It's Still Yours. How long will you continue to own the home? What happens if the sale falls through? Not every plan to sell actually comes to fruition. And when this happens, you want to be able to enjoy your home for as long as it's yours. If you put off repairs until new owners deal with it, you forfeit any further enjoyment you and your family get from this often sought-after home feature. Or you can get the maximum benefit from a working pool.
